Colorado Treasurer Dave Young’s Full Statement from Colorado Cashback Tax Refunds Press Conference
“Thanks to the leadership of the Colorado Legislature and Governor Polis, we’re able to get TABOR tax refunds into the hands of Coloradans months sooner through the Colorado Cashback.
Families across Colorado continue to face pandemic-induced economic challenges and financial pain. Moving these funds to people now, rather than later, is critically important to providing relief.
In particular, thanks to the Colorado Cashback, lower-income families will get a larger than usual tax refund, providing much-needed relief to Coloradans as we battle inflation and cost-of-living increases.
This is a crucial time for us to get tax refunds back to taxpayers, which is why we are here to let folks know to keep an eye out for their Colorado Cashback tax refund. Refunds will start to arrive in folks’ mailboxes today, and will continue to be mailed out on a rolling basis through September.
Folks who have not received their Colorado Cashback check in the mail by September 30th should reach out to the Colorado Department of Revenue.”
