What is the Great Colorado Payback?
The Great Colorado Payback reunites Coloradans with their lost, forgotten, and unclaimed assets. Even corporations, schools, hospitals, and small businesses lose track of property and payments. Money or property turned over to the Colorado Department of the Treasury for safekeeping always belongs to the owner or heir of the account, and there are no time limits for filing a claim.
How it Works
- Visit the Unclaimed Property website.
- Search your name or business name, and use your past addresses to narrow the results.
- Click “Claim” for each property belonging to you.
- Continue through the short process to file your claim.
- In some cases, we may ask for additional documentation. In other cases, you’re all set, and you can expect to receive a check in the mail within a few weeks.
