Colorado Department of the Treasury Stands Ready to Assist State Response
June 2, 2025 (DENVER) - Colorado State Treasurer Dave Young issued the following statement on yesterday’s attack in Boulder, Colorado.
“As we process a horrific day in Colorado, I remain saddened and shaken by the attack on peaceful protesters in Boulder. My heart breaks for the injured, their loved ones, and the many community members affected by this event. I am grateful for the quick action of our first responders and wish the victims a full recovery.
“All Coloradans, of all backgrounds and beliefs, deserve dignity and safety. I strongly condemn this malicious act. Violence is never the answer, and we must all do our part to root out the hatred and division that too often leads to senseless acts.
“The Colorado Department of the Treasury stands ready to assist the Boulder community in this difficult time. I urge Coloradans to come together as we begin the long road to healing.”
Coloradans are encouraged to contact the 988 Colorado Mental Health Line for free and confidential support.
