Colorado Department of the Treasury Monitoring Fiscal Impact on State Programs and Services

Jan. 28, 2025 (DENVER) - Colorado State Treasurer Dave Young issued the following statement on the federal funding freeze announced by the Trump administration:

While I am deeply disturbed by the actions taken by President Trump, I want to assure Coloradans that our state remains in a strong position to meet our financial obligations. We are working closely with our state agency partners and are confident in our ability to continue critical programs and services that people in every corner of this state count on daily, including healthcare and education. I applaud Governor Polis and Attorney General Phil Weiser for challenging the freeze in court, and we will continue to do everything we can to minimize the impact of this needless emergency.”
